Question. For the ones that lowered their bikes with lowering links. Did you change to a shorter spring and or the shorter shock or both. Or did you just use the lowering links. Thinking about getting the soupy links and progressive front springs. Thanks in advance.

If you don't lower too much there is no need to mess with the shock. I went 1 1/4" and my suspension is fine - and I weigh 240. I tried 2 1/2" but bottomed out. For me to go that low would require a much stiffer spring. Some folks of a skinnier nature do the 2 1/2" without much problem. If you use links you don't need a shorter shock: they both lower the ride.
