Maybe you guys can offer up your opinions to help me out. What would you choose..the low and mean lowering kit or the pcs kit? Im going to be riding solo 100% of the time. I'd like the bike lowered at 2.25 because I think it looks BA lol. Id also like a 240 tire put on it at the same time I take it in to get lowered. What would be the better kit? What needs to be done to the bike in order for a 250 to fit back there ? Reading some of your threads make me wonder if the 250 would be something to consider. Like I said il be solo...5'5 roughly 150 lbs. I hear these bigger tires handle like a dream also.

I installed the Soupys Links, a very good link with infinite adjustments. They come out of the factory adjusted to a 2 1/2 in drop & alot easier to adjust up or down than any other lowering link. Rethink & check out Soupys Lowering Links, they are the future.

I looked at Soupys when I was looking to by, but at the time they did not have them for the Stryker. I inquired and they said they were not available and it was about a month later they had them, but I had already purchased my PCS.

The PCS link is a good link but if you desire any height change besides 1 in or 21/2 in it cant be done, with the Soupys theres infinite settings between stock & up to a 3 in drop

hmm a 3inch drop sounds nice...i guess i need to do some image searching and see if i can find some pictures of how these lowered bikes look. would a full 3 inch drop pose any problems with a 240 or 250 rear tire installed?

Another vote for the Soupy's links. I put them in my bike, fairly easy install. I like the fact that they are more than just stamped steel and that they are infinitely adjustable. That said any of the lowering links e.g. PCS will work just fine.

With 3" you will run into trouble with a 250, More than likely with the 240 also. Clearance would be Ok with the stock 210, but plan on replacing alot of foot pegs! LOL

Lowering bike with 250

can anyone shed some light as to what needs to be done to the bike in order for a 250 rear tire to fit? also when lowering whats the lowest I can go on it?
You will have to trim lower belt guard or remove it altogether. 1" lower for 2up riding and maybe 1-1/2" lower for solo.
