I'm looking to buy some luggage for a 5 day trip coming up. I'm trying to stay away from saddlebags, want something I can mount to sissy bar/back seat. I have been looking at the Kuryakyn ultra tour bag/daily tour bag combo, and also the Saddlemen 3500 drifter. Does anyone have any exp. w/either of these? Not sure about the space, haven't gone more than a day or two on a bike before. Any other bags? Thanks for any input.

We have a Tourmaster CruiserII Barrel Bag. Not very big, but looks cool on bike! Pack lightly!!

If you dont mind a simple roll bag look, try the Bikers Friend bag. It stays put very well. I have an XL, and packed a ton in it on a 3night/4day trip, including, clothes, toiletry bag, ipod, phonecharger, and docking station, heatingpad, pair of chucktaylors, and I hate to admit it but yes- a curling iron anda full size blowdryer, all in one bag.
I used saddlebags for extra gear- without those, I would have used 2 of the roll bags, one on the seat and another on a tail rack.

Thanks for the input. I did go with the Kuryakyn ultra tour/daily tour combo, just put my order in today. Wanted something big enough to take several days worth of stuff in for myself (plus I like the idea of a backrest for those long days) or something my wife and I could both use for a few days. I'll let ya know how it works.

I was looking at the Kuryakyn grantour bag and the saddlemen br3400 and br1800. Both the grantour and the 3400 seemed to big for my needs, but the Saddlemen BR1800 seemed perfect. Either the grantour or the br3400 I would think would be great for a longer trip.
