Does anyone know where to find Matte Black saddlebag support bars?

Didn't exist when I bought mine. I got the chrome ones and painted them. Doesn't work very well; the bags rub the paint off.

your gonna want to scratch up the crome really good and then use a epoxy primer befor you paint it with your choice of paint

I would suggest getting them powder coated. Still might rub through , but will be more durable than paint.

I was actually thinking of something like that. Get them powdercoated black, but the put some kind of tape, or leather steering wheel wrap type stuff in the areas the bags will rub.

why half ass on your brand new bike do it the right way and eather powdercoat " you can get kits from harborfieght and eastwoods for cheap or
spray it with epoxy primer, urathane base and clear.
