Could be mistaken but I think 700 and some members at the 1st of the year?
I made a comment on another Yamaha forum that I wondered why Michelin didn't make a size tire that I was looking for for the Stryker and the 950. A guy, 650 or 1100 owner, commented that the 950 and the Stryker were just not popular enough for any company to make special tires or any other mods for them and probobly would never be.
So I pointed out to him that the 09 950 is the new design that replaced all 1100 models and all 650s except the V Star 650 custom but even that model was discontinued this year because they were not selling any more. Then along came the Stryker and I told him that there was already a lot of mods available for the Stryker and the 950 and pointed him to the L&M Custom 950 already in progress. And the fact that we were averaging 1 new Stryker owner a day signing up on the Stryker forum for the past 2 months and it wasn't even riding season yet and that I thought he was sadly mistaken. Not to mention how many were trading there 650s and 1100s and even HD Sporsters 1200 for the 950. And the Stryker has taken the market by storm and I thought it would become one of the most popular bikes on the market some day. I think I hurt his feelings and he was pissed. But hey facts are facts. BTW did you guys see the value that L&M put on that 950? $25,000 retail value. Does that mean that if you were to buy all the mods they put on that bike it would cost you the difference between what the base model would cost and $25k? $8,500 from $25,000 is $16,500. What? Or maybe that includes labor to in stall all the parts. What?
