Fellow Riders-

Today I took the plunge and ordered- the cobra black sweeps, cobra air intake, dyno jet fuel mgmt system, and will have the tech guys map it custom for my bike! This was rather expensive- 590$ for the Exhaust, 230$ for the air intake, 340$ for the fuel processor, and 300$ for the dyno, mapping, installation, and rear fender trimming!

Next I will mod will be some classic racing strips, and i will painting for the existing tank crap ( 650$) for the racing strips and tank repaint. After that no more mods.. this **** adds up, and I never planned on spending so much on a depreciating asset! That said, any riders in Northern California??? If so, contact me and we can go for a ride.

Pics will come when mods are complete
Cheers

adds up really quick. The one the I would recommend different is I would of went with the cobra powerpro auto tuner instead of the dynojet. No tuning needed and its $465 shipped I just put it on my bike and man did it make a difference.

XPS-

Great point, I've been torn over the whole tuner deal. Since this is my first bike, and I am no tunning expert, I went with the advice of the tunning mechanic as he is a yamaha specialist. He said " I will tune the dyno jet for your bike" not sure if this BS or not, probably is, but I shook the guys hand, so I am now bounded to the deal. Hopefully it works out. Thanks for the advice.

hand shakes aren't legal binding these days just paper and good ole john hancock. ;D. You should get around the same performance getting it dyno tuned. But if you ever want to change anything (different style exhaust, or intake) you'll have to get it tuned again. When I heard of this system and installed it I new the auto tuner was going to save people lots of money especially me since I like to change things around. It automatically adjust to whatever you throw on the bike say I want to go back to stock setup one week then the following week back to drag pipes and ram air intake it will adjust for it. Haven't tried it yet but cobra guaranteed it 8)
