I did a search and didn't see much of a discussion on motorcycle tire pressures. With the Yamaha R6 that I use to own I adjusted the PSI in the tires for the type of riding I was doing:

Two-up riding; (36 front & 42 rear -max pressures).
Twisties - sweepers: (32 front & 32 front)
Track: (26 front & 28 rear)
Standard commuting: (34 front / 36 rear)

These were cold tire pressures on sport type tires for the R6. The reasoning for changes to tire PSI for example are; increased load capacity or better wear with the higher pressures used. With the lower pressures it allows for a larger tire contact patch on the road surface or increased comfort. My question is has anyone on the forum played with tire pressures on our bikes and do small pressure changes make a difference with cruiser tires?

We've had this discussion a long time ago if I can recall. Pretty much you have to remember your dealing with a cruzer here and not a crotch rocket. Pretty much just stick with the factory setting on the bike frame.

I played with the air presser on my rear tire because of the extreme wear I was experiencing. It made no difference. The tire still wore out at 3,100 miles. Do to the style of tire and type of road I do most riding on. It wore the tread of the sides before the center witch is opposite of what I'm used to seeing.
