I finally gave in and bought a Mustang Daytripper seat from Dennis Kirk. I've been back and forth for a year about buying a seat, but after having my stock seat raped by a local bike seat guy (don't go to chopper seats if you live in Southern IL) I finally gave in.

What a complete disappointment it is. The main problem it where the seat curves up for the lumber support. The foam is a lot better than stock, but my tail bone hits the curve. The curve has practically no padding and that is a joke for a brand like Mustang. I could compare it to sitting on a Lazy Boy and having a soft ball in the lumber support.

This seat would be a night and day difference if it was plush all the way through. I'm definitely sending this piece of crap back and get the wide touring seat. I really, really wanted a one piece seat that was plush and supportive. I honestly am surprised Mustang hasn't been sued for consumer fraud for advertising this seat as a seat you ride on all day.

I truly do mean this.

My experiences with after market seats hasn't been that good. I spent $370 on that saddleman explorer special for my 950, what a rip off, seat was hard as a rock.
This was the one main reason I traded my v-star off for the stryker before I had it paid off. I rode toby's bike and the stock seat on his bike was comfortable, and stayed comfortable mile after mile, even with my broken tailbone.
I suggest you just get your money back and then buy yourself a new stock seat on ebay for $100 or so.
with a stock replacement that you can ride in, you can then take your raped seat and take it apart and customize it yourself for your own comfort.
It isn't that difficult, I played with the stock seats on the 950 and actually managed to get it pretty comfy before I decided to just chuck it all and get the bike I really wanted lol

Corbin seats are great seats. They seem a bit stiff at first but once you put a good 20 miles on it and the seat warms up it contours to your butt that makes it feel like you are sitting on a cloud in heaven. I have no problem making a 6+ hour trip on this seat (other than back problems from my days as a mason) without a single problem with the bum.
