Anybody have Mustang Daytripper one-piece seat(#766660) on their bike. I've had the vintage two-piece Mustang seat on other bikes and loved it but I like this look a little better for the Stryker, sleeker looking I think. Let me know

I looked at that seat, but my wife pushed me to get the two piece touring seat. Hope to see some reviews on it!!!
Looks like I may be first to get Mustand Daytripper one-piece seat. It's coming tomorrow, I'll let everybody know how it feels after I get a long ride in next weekend.

Ok just received seat, took out of box no instructions. So I go on line to Mustang.com, very simple and self explanatory. I tried for 45 minutes to install, front of seat won't latch no matter how hard I push down. I had a Mustang seat on my previous bike and loved it. Maybe because our bike is a new model and they didn't work out fit and finish, I don't know but I'm pretty PISSED  Sent message to Tech. support so I'll see what they say before sending back to Dennis Kirk. Maybe I just got a bad one? I'll let everybody know the out come.

Alright, I went to the gym and took my frustrations out, came home gave it one more try and BOOM it snapped in :p What happened is my Battery Tender wire that hangs over the frame rail was just thick enough not to let the seat snap in place. Ran wire under frame and it popped right in. Now a little tough to get off, you have to push down on seat with fist and turn key and it snaps up. I'll post pic's tomorrow. I'm going on a bike run Saturday about 300 plus bikes and I'll see how seat performs on long ride.

So whats the scoop on the Day Tripper? Really wanting to get this site so looking for other peoples feedback.
I pm you.
For everyone the seat is a hit, rode 120 miles on Saturday and Lower back and butt felt great. Dennis Kirk has best price. $283.00 plus $10.00 large size shipping. Only did solo riding no passenger. Brother in law was with me and has same seat on Kawasaki 900 and my sister says the ride on the back is fine. Hope this helps in making decision.

I'm having the same issues man. It takes a long time to get it to sit right. I've even had it detach while riding when i shift position and lean against the backrest too hard. What did Mustang say about it?

Well I figured it out by watching the "How to install video " on the Mustang site. Make a fist and place it right under the Mustang logo on seat and push down hard, it eventually will lock in.(I was trying to push down on sides of seat, thats a no-no). Now I've done this a hand full of times now and it seems to be getting easier. But to get seat off you have to push down on seat in same area(under Mustang logo) and turn key and it will pop off, it doesn't pop off if you don't push down the same time as turning key. Now Mustang did email me back the next morning and said to send seat back to them and they would have a look at it to see if there was anything wrong in manufacturing it, they were actually pretty nice in email response by apologizing but I haven't responded back because I kinda figured it out. But I might send back because it doesn't pop off as easily as I think it should. If your problem is similar to mine I would email them as well because maybe there is something wrong with fit. I don't think there are alot of these seats out there yet on the Stryker to really know if there's a promblem. We may be one of first to own it.
