Just a heads up pals, I ordered this thinking it would be awesome, hearing nothing but good things from Mustang.

To start, I'm 6'2. I have the scootmod 3" extensions... But with this seat, it completely undid what the extensions did, and then some, it felt.

I was definitely sitting forward AND up a couple inches in both directions. I felt like I was riding a SCOOTER with how high up I was.

Had my short neighbor sit on it and even he agreed it felt weird. So I don't know, lemon maybe as I can't see how Mustang could have overlooked these ergonomics.

Tried it without the backrest too and same thing.

Sent it back.

Probably try the Onepiece Daytripper next.

That sucks man. Nothing worse than being stoked about a mod and then being disappointed when you finally get it on the bike. I'm planning on doing the Corbin route myself but I think it too pushes you up just a bit so I've read. I'm sure someone will chime in with some advice for you though - plenty of knowledge at this table.... Good luck!

You should have checked the forum first... This has been talked extensively here. I'm 5'7 and the mustang seat works perfect for me because it does exactly what I wanted... Now my arms aren't stretched and I can lean back against the backrest and feel comfortable...

I think one thing I had to realize is that we are putting a touring seat on a non-touring bike. We all want that comfort but also need to keep in mind we have a chopper style bike. I commute on my bike regularly to work 160 miles round trip. The stock seat and pegs wasnt cutting it. so I went with the mustang seat and the swingwing pegs. I did help but for long distance its not my boulevard C50T. Thats IMO. Hope you find the right setup.

I'm 5' 10" and I hated the mustang! After around 300-400 miles. I couldn't get use to it. The riding position changed and my ass got sore after 60 mi. the stock is better in that respect. But, I needed back support. I went with the parts unlimited solo. Love it. No ass issues, no real change in riding position, plus I can ride further without the backrest then the stock and can put the back rest on if I need to. They also state the seat will stay cooler when sitting in the sun, and I agree with that statement. I'd recommend it. I've never tried the corbin. I do know they have a long break in period.

I am 5'8", I have the Mustang Studded seat and swingout pegs. I love this set up, I put 600 miles on this set up in a weekend and had no lower back pain or arm fatiuge. I guess for us short people the seat works great. ;D

It really comes down to how it fits your crack. I am 5'7" and I hated it and sent it back after two rides. It made my rear sore after about 30 minutes and I could not get use to the feelling of having the tank being shoved into my crotch. I am still looking for a setup that will work for me but I also am in no rush as the stocker works good for me.
