What's up guys. So I got my pearl white Stryker about a month and a half ago. I just ordered the la choppers xxx big air intake, I'm also planning on buying the bullet fairing and the low and mean chin. I currently have the oem engine guards on so I guess my first question is, are there any issues cutting off the piece that connects the 2 sides? I also have plans to get these parts plus all my covers painted white or maybe just buy the black covers and paint the fairing and chin white. So my second question is, are there any issue I may run into painting over chrome? I would also love to hear your opinion on the color scheme.

Thanks, big nick

Welcome and congrats on the new ride. White is like a blank canvas just waiting for your inspiration. As for painting over chrome I would recommend a good adhesion promoter before anything else. One of the reasons chrome is used in so many places is it's lack of adhesion, nothing sticks to it so it's easy to clean. Bulldog and a few other brands are available. Check with your local auto paint supply house and I'm sure they can make a recommendation.

Welcome to the forum from Buffalo NY. Congratulations on your new Stryker.
I used Krylon Fusion for Plastic (black) to paint my chrome. It was surprisingly easy, all I did was wash the chrome pieces with Dawn dish detergent and spray the paint on, no prep at all. It came out perfect. Looks like it came from the factory that way. Again, congrats on the new bike.

Welcome to the forum and your bike is a perfect candidate for a reverse Old No7 theme!
