Hello, I am a new Stryker own and first time motorcycle rider. I live just south of Kansas City Missouri and i have a few questions that i would like to have help with in regards to performance parts.

My plan is to purchase my new parts and install them all at once. I have read through the forum and have kind of got an idea of what i want to do but have came across a couple cross roads that with your all's help can get me back on the path that im trying to go.... Well here we go

Intakes--- Low and Mean performance intake system OR Barons chrome XXX Big air intake system, Cobra Pro flow Intake then there's one that starts with a K and look like it has butterfly valves.. Which direction should i go? Pro Vs Cons

Lowering kit--- Low and Mean lowering spring, PCS lowering kit, Baron dog bone? Can i do a L&M lowering spring and lowering link, any advise would be a great help. I will be doing the Avon 240 tire when it comes time, is it the Cobra model? Im 5'11 and 265pd

Exhaust, im thinking V&H chrome big radius.

The fuel tuner--- I have know idea, theres several ive seen but dont know which one to do, help would be great.. What are the pro's Vs con on the different models?

Are there any other ideas you all have to keep me on the right track.

Thank you for your help

When you say 1st time rider: You bought a stryker fresh out of getting a license?

Forgive me if i'm misreading, but that's more balls than I had. I really needed a starter bike to ensure i was ready for a big engine.

You should be fine. Getting used to turning a corner with raked out front end will be tricky at first. I have Cobra Powrflo intake, Cobra Slip-on muffler, Cobra CVT Autotune, and did the O2 mod. Bike runs great with that configuration.

PowerFlo intake is pretty nice because you dont have to by an adapter to install it like some other types of intake. It all depends on the look you like with that part.

The PCS lowering link is an easy way to drop the rear end of your bike without much labor and cost. Pros are that it looks bad ass, I dont know any cons so far.

I am trying to sell the Cobra Fi2000 closed loop tuner if that is a coute you want to go. I bought a different one from a small company that mounts on my handlebars for on the fly tuning. Send me a personal message if you are interested. I would give you a good deal.

Great Question as I have some of the same rolling around in my head...

And Yes I'm one of those guys that decided that his FIRST BIKE should be a Stryker. :)
Still getting used to the turning radius, but the engine size has not been an issue. :)

As some has said the Cobra Power Flow, my choice because no adapter is needed. Also have not heard of one complaint from anyone on this site who's installed one. Heard a few on the Baron and Kuri. But I do like the XXX. Exhaust my choice is the V and H big Radius. But to much coin for me right now, so I went Cobra slip on. Fuel Tuner, most have the Cobra Auto tune for simple ease if money is no problem. I went with the Fuel Pak because I had great luck with it on my last bike. There are a few pro's and con's with with all your choices, but I believe those are mostly personal from each rider. I've seen all these options on all the bikes in this forum and there are none I don't like. Good luck. Bottom line there are no bad choices in your choices.

For my money I think the V&H big radius + the Kuryakyn Hypercharger is the best looking combination. But what do I know? ;)

Can you tell me how the Kuryakyn Hypercharger works compared to the L&M air filter or the XXX Big air

Hey wouldn't you show her off?

Deputy, I can't compare them because I haven't used the others, but I freaking love my hypercharger. It works perfectly and I love the way the butterflys open up when you get on the throttle. It looks badass.

I installed the Cobra powerpro tuner to go with the intake and exhaust and was blown away by the performance increase. 3k miles on the bike now and no issues.

To your other questions, I got the Avon Cobra 240 tire and did the PCS links with 2.25" drop(just the dogbones). IMO, the low n mean spring is not needed...just an unnecessary expense. The pic above is before the bike was lowered. It looks better now and handles better.

Thanks for all the input, keep it coming....

Can anyone give me info in regards to the Cobra Fi2000r and the Dynojet power commander? Is there a open loop and a closed loop system? Ive heard people talking about a closed loop system and have saw the Fi2000r closed loop system selling on Ebay, just didnt know if there were two different versions.

I mentioned before that i was thinking about getting the V&H big radius exhasut, but as i look around i see V&H has a twin slash verison as well and then theres Cobra Speedster....... decisions, decisions........ I know i want chrome though.

Are there any deals going around on the Low and Mean radiator chin scoop?
from the info i have gotten from you all, I think i am going with the PCS lowering link. Ive read that some people are putting on a progressive rate shock, is that need or is it recommended? If its recommended do i go with standard length or do i get it in a 1 inch drop with the PCS link?

Thanks all in leading me in the right direction and for all the input.

Excuse me Mr. Imortal, but I think someone has climbed up on your Stryker and she appears to be headed in the wrong direction. I mean, the handlebars are in back of her. I won't mention the fact that she doesn't have proper riding attire.
Luck thing there doesn't look like there are any Cops around.
