Yeah, my last tank yielded only 33 mpg and I have a little over 2000 miles on it so it should be getting a little broken in, No ? This is my first milage check cause I been having too much fun riding to stop and check it. The Harley shovelhead I have gets about 45 mpg so what do you think ? Maybe I got a heavy wrist with the Stryker. I filled up after 120 miles (about half of those were at 70-80 mph) on freeway. Should I trade it in on a Vespa or bite the bullet and keep on riding ?

I usually hit the gas station at about 10 miles once the light has come on. I'm running an average of 123 miles per 3.3 gallons of 87 and I just rolled over 600 miles.

Well, I use 87 octane and after 2000 miles I can feel the bike loosening up some. I know I can increase the mileage if I ride more conservatively but on the other hand, I'm not really pushing it. The advertized mileage is 40 mpg, so I guess those of you who are getting that or better must ride slower with less stop lights than me. Can't understand why the Stryker doesn't do as good as the Harley however.

Well, I learned the hard way the end of last week, when I ran out of gas about 2 miles from home on my way home from work. Crappy way to start my Friday evening to say the least..... Anyway, it sputtered then totally died... at 24 miles. So I don't plan to push mine much past around 10 miles once the light comes on again. lol ::) Oh yea, and it was 87 gas.

I went on a 200 mile day trip this week & last week. Both trips I got 47mpg & there were a fair amount of twisties involved. Normally I get 38-40mpg. Just depends on how hard I play. I have 2,300 miles on my Stryker now.
