I put on a new headlight on my bike today. I got the light off of ebay. and made my own adaptor brackets. i ordered the HM2 bracket and extension piece. But I decided I didnt like them so I made one from some steel plate I had.

I am going to keep the bracket I made to myself for now.

here is a pic of the light on not wired up yet and I painted the chrome parts to match the rest of the light. i will take some better pictures outside tomorrow.

Man that headlight is made for the Stryker. I so badly want to replace mine for a chrome one like this. Really looks great on your bike.

Not to bad . I took my time and measured good and double checked before I cut and drilled. I will take a picture of the bracket before I put it on. I might just scan it in so others can copy it if they want to. I used a jig saw to cut some 1/4 inch thick steel and drilled the holes. once its on you will not be able to see that its not perfect.

I bought the HM2 bracket and I am going to sell it and the other piece from Adjure.

But the bracket I made wasnt hard to do with the right tools.

dumb question time: on the ebay listing it says it comes with a mounting block so I assume it doesn't work, correct?

which of the other two mounting blocks works best?

if any of you get this headlight. The lense is hard to get in and out. you unscrew the outer ring and then the inner ring and it comes out but getting it back in was a pain. i put some PB's lubricating oil on it and it was alot easier. just FYI.

But its all done. except for a ride in the dark to aim it.
