Hi. If I remember correctly, is your bike under 2k miles? If so, you have not yet broken in the engine, and could be causing damage. It will cost you later in the bikes' life. If you are over 2k miles, just ignore this, lol. :) And why are you pushing the bike to go 130 anyway? It is not a sportbike, lmao ;)

I have almost 7 k miles I got my bike last Christmas. I took a trip and for the first time I saw a speed limit of 80 mph on I10 from San Antonio to El Paso. I was already doing 90 when I looked down. So I figured lets see what she can do......I tried it twice just to be sure..

That’s really getting up there; however, our speedometers are notoriously inaccurate. I recently checked mine against my GPS. Speedo was reading 115 and the GPS settled in at 106. Pic in gallery. Your results may vary. Be safe.

I've seen 130mph a few times on both the stock tire & the 240 rear tire on my Stryker. On public roads I stay pretty close to speed limits or slower depending on road conditions and just enjoy the ride. Now if I want to go fast that's what my FZ1 is for. It's a rush to shift gears around 14,000 rpms ;D

You passed right by my area. I ride from sonora to San Antonio sometimes. There're about to raise the limit to 85

Coors,

yeah I did a memorial day run from Dallas to Houston to San antonio to San angelo and back. My bike was stock at the time. I think I will do it again next year but I will go to San Angelo first. I have modified my exhaust since then, I dont get the same mileage anymore. But the ride is so much sweeter now.
