I decided to order the National Cycle quick release windshield with a light tint, should take about 3min to remove. Dont know how much wind will it stop, no freeway drive yet.

I will take more photos tomorrow during the day. What do you think?

Looks good from what I can see. I look forward to seeing some outdoor pictures, particularly one from a bit longer distance away. Thanks for the pics. Also, do you mind telling us how much that windshield is?

OK thanks for the comments,

I took some pics outside, also went on a short ride 40min on the back-roads, no highways, it does push the wind over to the helmet. I re-adjusted it and will ride again to see if it goes over the helmet. I do like to looks and the amount of wind it diverts. Good alternative to the Yamaha ones. and wanted to be a bit different.......

Total shipped $136.94 from cruisercustomizing.com

item: National Cycle Deflector Screen DX-road star NC-N2595a

Great pictures, the bike looks really nice still with the windshield. Let us know if you get it adjusted in so that the wind goes over the helmet. I'm really liking the price on this one.

Update: to days of highway driving 70+ miles each day, and multiple adjustments. I finally got it adkusted so the wind witll only hit the top of the helmet.

I am happy with this product, it give enough coverage to go 80-90 without any decapitating effect. and it looks pretty tame.....

That actually doesn't look too bad. I need to get a windshield but don't wan't the 17 or 22 (just feel it ruins the look of the bike). Was considering the boulevard one from Yamaha but this one looks a lot better. Do you ride with a full helmet or half with this windshield? I've tried riding highway speed with no windshield and a half helmet on this bike and its painful! haha

Raven I was wondering the same. I might roll with this windshield and then give the half helmet another try

Highway, I use a full face. hits my forehead (5'8"). with the full face is at about 60 top speed around town, haven't try the half helmet since I readjusted to current position. I go 70-90mph in highway much improvement than without windshield.

it is a DRZ 400S, not much just whitebros exhaust and DRZ E header, might have to jet the carbs for the bigger header and exhaust. What is 3x3 mod? educate me friend???????

i have a yoshi comp exhaust, fender eliminator, fmf jet kit, trail x headlight, 3x3 mod...

the 3x3 mod is where you cut your air intake under the seat from an inch and a half to a 3 inch by 3 inch hole with a 1 1/2 inch hole saw and trim the rest with a hot exacto knife blade. finish is off with a vacume hose as a trim peice. you will then have to re jet your carb. there is a youtube video under 3x3 mod. its actually really easy and adds ALOT!! of torque to the 400s.

hope this helps

Has anyone bought or thought about the one that's a little bigger than this one. I think it's called the Street or something like that.

Just doesnt look like this one deflects a lot of wind. we have a lot of sand and crap on the roads here and a half helmet and no windshield is like getting sandblasted. I want something to deflect the wind from my face without being too big or looking like it doesn't belong on the bike (aka the Yamaha windshields). Thanks.
