Hello everyone,

I want to buy a OEM fuel tank and they are about 700 to the 900 price range my question when it say fuel tank comp on these website that sell them does that mean the complete tank with the fuel pump and the chrome thing that it has around the gas cap and the graphics on the side or just a black tank with nothing just the shell???

I would assume that a comp tank would come with a gas cap and key, maybe the fuel attachments on the bottom. I would also assume that you could get it in any of the factory colors they offer. While I'm assuming your parts guy should be able to tell you exactly what your buying! I believe the fuel pump is in the secondary tank below the seat, so that would not come with the main tank. I do not know of anyone who has had to get one yet?

I bought a new take off from a bike that was damaged by crating. They took fuel shutoff, Fuel Sender and gascap off, So I am assuming they needed them for the new tank. Decals where there and came with Chrome accent around filler neck.

Small off shoot from this thread im hoping to get an after market tank with a larger fuel capacity so i dont have to stop as oftenon the kong hauls. Any suggestions on tanks, where to look or what to look for.

I talked to a guy about this very subject, alas he suggested a customs shop and to expect to pay upwards of 1k to make this happen
