Vetteman, I don't recall many people actually P&P'ing the heads but I would assume it's fairly straight forward. I say DO IT! I haven't seen a single vendor with cam options though...

Seems to me it would have been cheaper and easier just to buy a Raider. But I'll still me watching this thread for educational purposes. 8)
Theres always the option of getting the platform with the bigger engine, yes. But half the fun is starting off with "x" and making it your own, despite cost and ease. You could argue your point with any performance mod on any vehicle and state "why didn't you just get something better in the first place?" My answer is, because I can :)

Better Cam would probably be enough. Maybe a mod to get done the Winter .

It's all in the "sleeper" thing when we want to take what we got and make it perform better than stock. Go for it!!

I think at this time it will all be custom machine work. Bigger valves
, higher compression, stronger cranks, etc. I like the bigger bore to stroke engines like the Stryker configurations more so than the Raider’s long stroke engines. If you can't get the engine components at this time you may look into changing the rear or front sprocket, this will give you a better takeoff but sacrifice high end. I don’t know if they are available, I know they say there is a smaller rear but that only helps high speed or fuel mileage.
Good luck

SLEEPING FACTOR ? I would agree if we were talking about more power for a scooter, or something that doesn't appear fast. Like putting 600HP in a smart car, but everyone I've met thinks the Stryker is super fast, because of the way it looks. They also think its larger then 1300CC. So by just making it faster on this bike, doesn't give it the sleeper factor. It just affirms what they already believe.

I think the sleeper factor is for those that already know the Stryker, also you have the H-D riders that think theirs is so much faster.... Hehe I made a funny with last part it would make the Stryker spank them that much worse

The sleeper factor is good. The Stryker already looks fast but it's not. I mean for those that think it's fast because of the way it looks and they don't know what it is it's not really that fast. What it does have is the ability to perform more like a sport car compared to a muscle car when compering it to the Raider. I proved that it could out run a dual sport BMW the other day riding and racing him some 60 miles up hwy 101. We hit speeds of 110 on corners, he barley could keep up with me and when I hit 115 he started dropping back and left him in the dust at 120 and 130. He stopped at a gas station to talk to me and told me he was really impressed with the way that my bike handled at those speeds in the corners and how I threw it around with the big rear tire. Still the stock 210 and lowered 2.25" BTW. It really did handle beautifully. But I am just a little crazier than most. When he ask what cc it was when I told him his eyes lite up and he said wow that's fast for a 1300. ;) It was obvious that he had raced other cruisers in the 1300 range an beat them. So if you soup up the Stryker motor and keep it mostly the stock platform frame etc. it would be like putting a full race Chevy small block into a Vega with racing suspension. It would be every bit of a sleeper and just blow away any competition with the right rider on it. So I say, SOUP THAT BAD BOY UP. I will some day myself. Probably within the next 3 years.

Omg Toby you're one crazy sob....way to go on showing its not one to be toyed with chances they are going to underestimate it. I agree for a bike it's far from being fast but being a v twin and it's size it's impressive, and a little extra power is always nice :)..... But Toby I think you should come with a warning sticker on your helmet
