Ok.. So I have been reading different posts and can't seem to find a straight answer.. I currently have stock pipes on the bike and drilled holes in the baffles to get them a little louder.. I have been looking into doing an air intake mod and in some posts it says you can do either new exhaust or new intake without needing to worry about installing a tuner, but then other posts say if you do a new intake you have to get the tuner.. Just trying to get some solid info on the matter.. Don't want to do any damage to the bike.. Thanks

If you're pipes were unmolested then no but as they are the safe bet is to add tuner, you won't be disappointed. Well maybe you will, I ripped up a new Metz back tire in only 2600 miles because it was so much fun hitting the throttle a little harder than normal :)

With a BAK and stock pipes (drilled or not) it will run okay - but it will run hot due to running lean. The excess heat will shorten oil life and engine life. It's okay to run that way for a while but you will want a tuner at some point. You will be surprised how much cooler it runs when properly enriched.
