Hey guys, I just installed the V&H Big Radius, first with the chrome shields, then second with the DEI heat wrap. Which do you like better?

Liked the contrast of the black and chrome but the exhaust needs to be all black or all chrome. That in mind I voted chrome.

Chrome. The heat wrap looks like something went wrong with your exhaust and your trying to fix it.

Yeah I was back and forth. I wonder if I can keep the wrap on and put the shields over them for double heat insulation...

I sported the chrome with the black heat wrap for a while. I actually really liked it, but decided to work on completely murdering it out later. I think if you did a little neater job on the heat wrap, and black out the headlight it would look better.

Water is your friend on heat wrap. Unfortunately, spending the extra money on the black wrap isn't worth it since the water washes out most of the dye. What I did was wrap it and run it for a week or so letting the wrap break in, then I took it off and doused the wrap with a whole can of black VHT. No color fade, and even better heat protection now.

Yes- I bought the Gray wrap and the Black silicone spray made for it and did all at the time of install. Have washed bike quite a few times and no color fade so far.
