New fairing today , need to relocate the ignition

So after many moons of thinking about this I finally removed my memphis bullet shield and installed the batwing. After my last neck surgery , it had to be done. But now I want to relocate the ignition. Has anyone here done that mod? And where did you move it to? looking for ideas. It's just too much of a pain to stick my hand in there with gloves. I removed most of the parts but saw the bolts were in a way i couldn't removed them. Do you drill them out? thanks for the help.

Yes, the bolts are below the seal, difficult to drill

SS no longer makes that bracket kit. Relocation is strictly DIY now...

Didn't know, just indicating the thread, DIY is possible; a friend made me a similar one to put the horn on It, as you has said.

Thanks Been looking to upgrade the pegs to floorboards and some other items, but a combination of difficulty finding bolt on product and being picky, has made it more difficult.
I have the reverse problem. My bike had a batwing on it when I got it and the previous owner relocated the ignition to the batwing radio box. Had it clamped in with a U-Bolt like a muffler hanger. When I took the batwing off, I learned he had butchered up the ignition. To remove the ignition from its original position, he took a grinder to it to get it off. I guess he didn't want to have to figure out the safety breakoff bolts holding it on. But now, I have the bullet cowl back on and the ignition is stuffed and zip tied seven ways from Sunday into the triangle space in front of the gas tank until I can figure out how to make a bracket with no holes to bolt a bracket to. If you do what I did, make sure the ignition is far enough stuffed in there so the forks don't hit it and break off your key. It is a very convenient place to put it...if you still have bolts holes to make a bracket work.
