Didn't it come with a spacer to slip in?
I'm doing the kuryakyn 6345 install now.

The throttle side spacer seems to be about 1/2" too long, can't align throttle grip with the spacer installed.
I can get it aligned with the spacer removed, but then it seems to be very loose, like it needs the spacer between the end of bar and grip.

Did others have to cut the throttle spacer to make the grip fit properly?

Thanks

Didn't need a spacer on the throttle side. Cut it down on the clutch side.
A 1 and 1/2" spacer was in the throttle side grip, so figured it goes on that side.

I've got the throttle side on, without spacer, just seems loose, since there's about a 1" gap between edge of bar and inside of grip.

So the spacer needs to go on the clutch side? Haven't done that side yet

Thanks

It's been awhile, but I'm certain I didn't use a spacer on the throttle side. If connected correctly to the switch/cable housing - and this housing is correctly positioned on the handlebar, it should be in the right position and not loose at all.

It looks like I used the standard ISO grips rather than a universal one and it seems the instructions are a little different but it could just be when they were written and by whom. :( I had considered going with all black and getting the throttle lock and counterweight for contrast, but now I'm not sure I want to do that. Well, I do still want the lock and counterweight....

I installed my iso grips with the spacer on the clutch side. Nothing on the throttle side. Don't need anything on the throttle side just in case the spacer might make the throttle stick on you. That might turn into a bad day. But you can adjust the throttle cable tension to your liking. Just make sure the throttle snaps back into place where it should be. Or yet again another bad day.

Makes sense....don't need any bad days....

I guess the loose-ness on the throttle side is normal. I read the instructions for the throttle side first since that's the side I did first.

after reading the first half of instructions, I see the spacer may be needed on the clutch side.

I was thinking the tape (pic 1 was for clutch side, not throttle)

On to the clutch side....

Thanks for the responses..

I've got ISO grips and didn't use the spacer on either side....not needed
Probably didn't really need on the clutch side, but I put it in.....since it seemed it would make the last cushion area have support beneath it....

of course I didn't cut it enough the first time, so the grip didn't have the same spacing as the throttle side....taking the spacer out was a *****.....but did it, cut it shorter, and grips are installed with glue.........

Looks pretty sweet.....except I still think the throttle side grip has a bit too much play. And I don't mean the actual throttle....

Thanks for answering the questions...
