Hello everyone, just joined the forum and I wanted to introduce myself.

I currently have a 2010 Yamaha R6. I bought it a year ago and have enjoyed it a lot. Recently my wife got interested in riding on it with me. As you can imagine the R6 is not the most comfortable bike for a passenger. I will be trading it in on a Stryker this week. They have a couple of leftover 2011's to choose from at the local dealership. I have previously owned a couple other cruisers; a Harley Dyna and Sportster. Looking forward to the new bike and learning from you all here on the forum.

Thanks,

Brad

Welcome. I traded my 6 for a Stryker too. Even though I miss it, I do not regret my decision. I can now enjoy long rides instead of short painful trips. Although the pain was sometimes worth the power and looks she had.

Thanks you all for the warm welcome.

I have to agree BANE, I'm going to miss my 6 too. I wanted the new 6 as soon as I saw the redesign in 2006. I love the power and looks of it but as you said after an hour or so I'm ready for a break from it. Hopefully I'm as satisfied as you are with the Stryker.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

I went for my first official ride today (other than coming home from the dealership). Put about 130 miles on it. It rides very nice and comfortable. I'm going to have to relearn how to ride after coming off a sportbike. Slow speed corners are much different on this bike then I thought they would be. By the end of the ride I was a little more proficient with it. Got to keep riding, and get through the 600 mile beak-in. Then comes the mods.....
