Hello all,
I've been looking for a good cruiser and I was certain that I was going to get a Warrior. They're inexpensive and look like fun to ride.
I went to look at a used one (local dealer) and I sat on a Stryker while I was there. Wow, what a fit. Feels a bit like my old VTX1300, but not as bulky.
I'm hoping to be just a day or two from pulling the trigger on a 2011 Stryker Raven, which is really nice looking (in pictures anyway).

I'm going to go through this forum and get a feeling for how folks like the 2011 Strykers and what recalls there are, which mods are suggested and get a feel for which add-ons people suggest. I don't ride a ton locally, but I like to take a few weekend trips to the Outer Banks of NC - 4 hour ride each way with an overnight to enjoy the surf. My brothers and I started doing this trip every year and last year I did it on a KLR650 (I had sold my VTX1300 and opted for the DS world) - that was a loooong trip on the KLR (stock seat).

Anyway, I thought I'd introduce myself and see if anyone has any experience with the Stryker I'm looking at.
I hope to pull the trigger tomorrow.

Thanks,
Steve

Re: New here - got my finger on the trigger

Good ahead and pull the trigger, you won't regret it. But, just make sure that you got some cashed stashed away for the modding that you are going be doing! Its crazy addicting. As far as the bike goes, I have no issues with it (with the exception of a few cosmetic things)

I second, pulling the trigger. The Stryker is a great bike and there are lots of modding ideas here. Welcome!

I've got a 2011. Picked it up in march and loving every minute I'm on it. Comfortable ride .Just all around awesome. I've got about 350 miles on it so far. Would have more if the weather would cooperate.

Get Stryker in sights and pull the Trigger... being a new owner, I can tell you it is a nice bike to ride compared to others I've been on. Modding it is fairly inexpensive... Lowering, Exhaust, FI Tuning, and so on are all reasonably priced Mods, and from what I've read and heard offer great bang for the buck.

Also agree, nice riding around and people saying Nice Bike.

Welcome. And I will say it again. PULL THE TRIGGER. I hear nice ride from everyone and I mean everyone. I love when a harley rider says it.
