It looks like they have a kickstarter campaign going to create this, currently it's $69 for one(Oct. delivery, $79 for Aug. delivery), they also give a lot more information on how it works and if you go to the updates section of the kickstarter they have even more information. Can read up on kickstarter on their website as well if you don't know what it is about.

If I hadn't already done some modding to my license plate I'd probably go ahead and back the project. Definitely a neat idea, I've certainly noticed a few close calls running around the city because I forget to use my brakes for the drivers behind me.

Interesting concept and wish I had thought of it. However while it's great they are soliciting for free starter seed money and pretty smart on their part most investors expect get a return on their investment by getting to share in the profits not just a t-shirt or a shout out on face book. They probably already have an investor but this is a smart way to hedge the bet and test the market demand.
