So I have been in contact with a guy from tejasmotorsports via email. I was asking him about various parts they had available, and out of curiosity, I asked him how much they were selling the Cobra tuner for. He asked me where I live and ride as he wasn't sure that the Cobra tuner was the best for my ride. So I told him Jacksonville, FL and his next question was if I had someone to install and tune the new parts I was looking for.

So my questions are: Do I NEED someone to tune it after the install? I am sure I can install it with little to no problems, and if I do hit a snag I have you guys for assistance. Also...would it matter where I live and ride? And why would he say it might not be the best tuner for the Stryker?

Sounds to me like he wants to sell you sothing and subjected his opion to sway you.
The Cobra Tuner is plug and play no tunning involved if your talking about the F12000 Power Pro

Tejasmotorsports is a dealership its actually my dealership. They are probably not aware of the new auto tuner yet. Sounds like he is talking about the other ones that you have to map. They are really great people so I think its just miscommunications. You can install it yourself and it only takes maybe 30 minutes to do.

Yea, Stryker...I think I actually got turned onto them by some of your posts and that's what prompted me to reach out to them. I'm not complaining by any means, but my questions get answered here a lot quicker than email with them, ;D

theres plenty of good info and great people on here. I'm very lucky to have them as my dealership I have dealt with some real a-whole dealerships before but they have won my business for life or atleast til they find a way to piss me off ;D

I hear ya' man..... I too am on that backorder list. I was told middle to end of November..... what a bummer it is having to wait to install my Cobra intake....

Supposedly I'm number one on the back order list with phat performance. At least that's what they told me. Who knows. Probably said that so I wouldn't cancel my order.

hey, midlife...how much did they charge you? It's listed on their site right now for 489.95 and it doesn't show it as back ordered (although I am sure it will change if I press the checkout button, hehe).
