So has anyone put on one of the other seats offered by star? I am thinking of the confit tour as my lower back aches after some time on the bike.

This has been already posted a few times before but here goes again. I got the Comfort cruise dual seat and has more padding but stiffer leather and padding. So now I have a solo Comfort cruise for myself and customized a Stratoliner passenger seat to fit for my wife. I like the contour of the solo seat because it comes up and supports my tailbone better than stock seat.

Ooo, that looks like a nice change to the passenger seat. How exactly did you mod the seat?

I would never do it again. Took me 8 hours(2 of which was figuring how to do it). I had to cut 2'1/2" inches in length out of seat and reattach cover then, Make up bracket for front of seat holddown. Real pain, but worth it in the end.

Gotem on Ebay. There are many sets available in black or chrome.

I tried the Star Solo seat - good support, but it pushed me forward about an inch - I didn't like it, so I went back to the stock. (Cut off the passenger & made a Solo out of it - I'll post pics this weekend). For 2-up, I got a Mustang Daytripper - NICE. As comfy as the Star Solo, but sets you back in the saddle like the stock seat. I suppose when LM gets their seatpans going, I'll pick one of those up and get it covered, prolly by Danny Grey (thx Deja!).

How does the mustang feel and compared to stock did it move you forward or back or is it about the same?

The Mustang seats push you forward a little but I have hd no issues with it. i am 6'2" and ride hours on it without issues. I have the oe wih the removable backrest.

Hey Schimbo, I would help anyone on this forum with "just about any" mod, But- Electrical and mods that make my Blood Pressure Soar are Omitted! ( The custom Stratoliner Passenger seat is in that catagory) Sorry friend- Seriously!!
