Hi everyone! I'll start off by introducing myself, my name is Ryan and I currently work for a company called MC Enterprises. Before I go any further I just want to say, I'm not here to sell items or anything of that nature (many forums are against companies selling their products in the forum section, I looked through the rules and didn't see anything regarding this), I'm merely here to get some feedback on the Stryker. Anyway, MC Enterprises has been in the industry for just over 40 years making quality accessories for metric cruisers (Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki) right here in the U.S.A.

I'm working on designing a new line of products specifically for the 2011-2012 Stryker but I'd like to get some input on what accessories people would really like to see for this bike. Currently we manufacture sissybars, engine guards, floorboards with heel/toe shifters, saddle bag guards, highway bars (or highway pegs), various luggage racks, front fender trims, rear grab rails, along with similar products for a wide range of bikes and have been for decades. We're an established company in the industry and are looking to manufacture these items in high volume for distribution through various outlets. That's good news for the end buyer because we're not a some small garage shop that has to charge people exorbitant prices for accessories because they have to be custom made one at a time. So, what accessories would you people like to see for the Stryker that you're having a hard time finding?

A fender mounted luggage rack would be nice.
We're definitely planning on creating a luggage solution for the Stryker. Generally we make two different types of racks for bikes, sometimes three. One mounts specifically to our sissybars (which seems to be the most popular option for people who have or who plan on getting a sissybar) as well as one or two different types that mount directly to the fender (the basic difference between the two being weight capacity). So, some sort of rack is definitely in the works.

I like the sissy bar with the integrated grab rails that you have for the Raider, and a set of highway pegs would be nice. Would you be able to offer any of these items in black?
Our sissy bars with the integrated grab rails are some of our most popular items so a sissybar for the Styker is also something we'd definitely like to do. However, I was thinking that a "shorty" style sissybar would look better on a bike like the Stryker rather than our standard 13" sissybar. I think a short sissybar with integrated rails would be an awesome idea for this bike though.

To answer your other question: Yes, we would be able to offer these items in black. Most of our current product is chrome however we have been making more accessories in matte black so that is a definite possibility.

I would be interested in a sissy bar that is a bit smaller that has the capability to mount a bad pad to it for the lady. I am not a fan of what is out tehre now. Definitely would want to see most of the products in a black powdercoat or matte finish. Matching the frame.

A bad pad or a back pad? I wasn't sure if a bad pad was something specifically different from a normal sissybar pad or if it was just a typo. Either way, all of our sissybars do come with the sideplates for mounting, all necessary hardware, and your choice of a plain or studded back pad. I'm guessing our sissybar for the Stryker would be the same way; pad included. Although, we are currently discussing whether we'd like to do a "shorty" version or a taller, standard 13" version.

I personally think the short style sissybar would look great on the Stryker due to its sportier design.

My opinion on the sissy bar is that yes make it short.
And luggage racks that mount to the fender or anything but what is offered now. They all look like they go on an old 70s bicycle.
Passenger peg extensions. They are way to high and to far back. I bought some that dropped the pegs down 4" out 3" and forward 2", made a world of difference but they are an eyesore and don't match the bike.

Hahahahaha! I totally agree with this! A lot of the racks that are out now don't really look like they belong on the bike, do they? I think it's because the Stryker is a more aggressive, sportier type cruiser. Usually lower profile accessories look good on bikes like that.

I appreciate all of your input though everyone! We should be getting a new 2012 Stryker in our facility early next week to continue the design process. I'll be sure to take some photos and keep you guys updated on how it goes!

Honestly I'd like to see a luggage only sissy bar. Something that comes on and off quickly and easily so that when I want to go on an extended run I can strap luggage behind me and to the sissy bar. Yet when I'm in town I can leave it off. This wouldn't be something that could be used for a passenger just luggage and less expensive than the standard sissy bars.

I may be nuts but what the heck you asked.

That is a good idea; you're not nuts! The main issue with this idea though is similar to the issue people run into when attempting to design a quick-release sissy bar. The sissy bar (or rack, in this case) would have to be mounted to the bike somehow and most companies use "side plates" to serve this purpose. Generally the side plates mount to the bike then the quick-release section of the sissy bar (or rack) is attached to the side plates. The only downside to this is when you remove the sissy bar or rack, you have these side plates sticking up and they usually look out-of-place. If only we could come up with a solution to that, we may be seriously on to something.

Please look at making some rear footpegs floor boards, need to be lower and more forward, so the miss after market pipes, factory are to high ,not comfortable at all
This is also a good idea and I saw someone else mention something about passenger pegs earlier in the thread. We're getting the bike in our shop on Monday(2/20) so the passenger pegs is something I'll definitely look at! I appreciate all the info!

Well what I'm thinking is:
1) I ride with saddlebags so they cover anything I put on the fender, but that's me being selfish
2) since we're not talking about supporting the load of a human, but 20lbs of clothes maybe something like the bolt extensions for bungy straps that a spring loaded trigger on the bar would snap into???

Okay, I believe I know where you're going with this. Sounds like a decent solution, too. I've kinda come up with something I think may also work while still looking sharp and low-profile. It'd be a bit hard to describe on here but we should be getting the bike in our facility on Monday, I'll take a few photos and see if I can work up a rough diagram of what I have in mind.

Running lights, turn signals, get rid of the lolly pops. On a wind shield, on the forks, on the mirrors, on saddle bags, on sissy bar, on handle bars, on sides of the head light, on your arms or shoulders, anything but those lolly pops. And unique to the Stryker.

Hello there. I really like a few of your products. Id love to see everything you offer for this bike but Im having some troublelocating the stryker on your webpage. I'm particularly interested in Your sissy bar with grab handles. I'd like one with an integrated luggage rack as well. I've found some of your accessories on a few other websites, but would like to browse everyone you currently offer for the bike at once. Thanks
