Hey Guys,

Been reading your forums for a few months now after I feasted my eyes on a Stryker....Been drooling ever since..

The wife just got her license a few week ago and quickly outgrew the 650 S40 Suzuki we picked up. She took my Shadow for a ride and decided she wanted my bike instead...

That worked our great for me as I was on the phone to the dealer the next morning :) . Just about to pull the trigger on a 2013 Raven Stryker. I expect to finalize the numbers today and have them uncrate it for pick up next week. Dealer is 450 km (280 miles) away.

I need to be set-up right away to carry some gear and was wondering what your using for Bags. The Yamaha bags for the Stryker look lame and want something that has decent storage.

Anyone have a sissy bar bag as well that they use on the Yamaha backrest?

Thanks in advance.

I don't have much advise I'm afraid. I'm still learning through trial and error. I started with a backpack, then figured a way to attach the bookbag to my backrest. Finally bought some small tool bags and put them where the saddle bags should go. They broke after about 2 weeks. Broke down and bought some nice size leather bags, but learn that it's unwise to use bags without the brackets. That and the bags literally rested on the exhaust pipe. (Only thing I hate about the Stryker, those stupid, ugly, poorly designed pipes!!!!) Right now, I'm just back to rocking out a backpack. I refuse to break down and buy hard bags yet. I just can't do it. I have seen other riders that have the backrest with the rack that use touring bags and they seem to work rather well, though they aren't the flashiest means availiable I'm sure.

Sorry that's not much help, but maybe you'll be able to bypass some of my idiocracy at least. Good luck on the buy. You'll love it the more you ride it!

There are alot of variations on here, depending upon whether or not your want bags for around town vs weekender vs long road trip.

The limit is only your pocketbook!

I'd suggest looking through the Photo Gallery's and the Garage's for ideas on what you think you like. Also - there have been quite a few posts on this subject - just do a forum search.

Oh and btw...

Congrats on your ride & Welcome to the Forum - may you enjoy both!

Hey All
Had a similar question but want to take It one step further. Just go my Stryker last week (Sweeeeeeeeet). Once I break it in my and the misses are going to do some camping. So......any body pulling a motorcycle camper of small trailer. If yes, how did you hook up the tow ball and how does the bike handle. What are you towing?
