Hey gang,

Bought a new Stryker Raven last week! It's my first brand new bike ever. Put on a couple hundred miles the first few days and I really like the handling and power. After my short time on this bike though I'm pretty sure I can't go with the stock pipes for long. After reading around it seems like I have quite a few options for after market pipes. I love an exhaust with a lower pitched growl. I"m OK with decibles but don't care to be the loudest bike on the block. Any recommendations?

I'm also 6 foot 2 inches and the position of the shifter and brake are a little cramped for my longer legs. Would love to hear recommendations for this too. Looking forward to using this site. Am an avid snowmobiler and found these forums priceless in the past. Thanks in advance!

Ive got the PCS forward foot controls but would reccomend Scoot Mods, only $100 for forum members and adjust break lines so you wont need to get longer break lines.
Cobra Swept pipes, looks good, sounds better.
Also grab the Kuryakyn Swing Wings for some extra leg extension.

Welcome from Grand rapids MN, You'll love this sight.. many free mods and great advice. If you want a night and day difference in your stock exhaust before you actually get new exhaust you could drill the baffles and gut the catalytic converter. both real easy to do... Doing this made like the exhaust tone enough to hold off on the new exhaust for right now until more options come out and focus on buying other things to make my bike more unique. Instead of exhaust I got a programer and did the free airbox mod... I am very happy with the added performance and no backfire :D

Thanks for the feedback gang! Ordered the Cobra slip ons. Debated on drilling holes and went down the slip on path instead. Need to read up a little more on the programmers available and what they really can do for me. I see them ranging from $240-400 and not sure how hard it is to install myself. I'm more of a tekky guy than a gearhead but certainly don't mind getting my hands dirty. Not to mention the satisfaction of doing it yourself (when it makes sense). Any advice and/or opinions are welcome.

Installed new Cobra slip on tonight and absolutely love it! Loud and proud! After that I took the hair dryer to the bike and got rid of all unnecessary labels/decals. Trying to decide what to spend the money on next.

Congrats on your bike. And welcome from Zenia. What next? Make a list, close your eyes and drop your finger and you know the rest.

Hi, I just bought my Stryker TODAY. I live on Cass Lake, east of Bemidji, MN. Nice to meet a member so close by. I have heard alot of mentioning about drilling the baffles on the stock exhaust. Is this okay (safe) to do to the motor? Does the bike sound better? Nice to meet a member that lives so close to home!

Welcome to both of ya... I'm in SW corner of the state I hope to get up that way this summer you got some beautiful country to ride in enjoy.... I would say drilling is safe it's probably one of the oldest mods I've found for about any bike, and all most every one here has done it with no reported issues.

I was really on the fence to drill or buy the slip ons. By what I read lots of folks went down the path of drilling and eventually purchased a new exhaust. Of the people who put on new pipes I don't think I heard one person say it wasn't worth it. I have about 150 miles on my new Cobra slip ons and can say it's probably the best $240 I ever spent. Absolutely love the sound. Had a bunch of buddies that came over last night that ride anything from Harleys, Indians, customs and Raiders. Every one said it sounded awesome....and trust me this group of guys would have told me if they didn't like it! It does pop a little on decel but not bad. Will probably end up getting a Cobra Autotuner next but am in no big hurry.

It's nice to see so many Minnesota guys out there with Strykers!

Have any pics to post of your installed slip ons?
