So after several sport bikes, I took the cruiser bike plunge with my last bike ... a Yamaha V-star 650 that was bobbed and lowered,... I simply fell in love with the bike, but after a while of course, I needed something "more". I looked around at all of the various dealer's current offerings, and for me, the best looking and performing bike for the buck, was definitely the Stryker.... and it was without question, going to be the Raven paint scheme for me.
The middle of last week I made the trip to my local Yamaha dealer in Richardson, TX and they had a Raven in stock that they just got a few days prior. I left with my new Stryker last Wednesday and have just reached 300 miles this weekend! Halfway through my break in... w00t!
So far I've also accomplished removing the speedo, ignition, and headlight bucket plastics to paint them in Satin black and reinstalled, perm. removed the tank chrome plastic accent to clean the tank look up.... removed reflectors from front fork to clean it up there too. I've currently installed a pair of Kuryakyn Maltese cross mirrors,... and now just await the arrival of a few more things I just ordered online this weekend.... (Cobra swept pipes in black,... hopefully not the huge delay on them still).... short black passenger backrest, black kury ISO grips (since I loved the chrome ISOs I put on my bobber.).... and lastly for now I'm trying to find a nice vertical license plate mount with or without the LED. I think beyond that, I'll have to wait a while before I can grab an air intake (toss up between black hypercharger or L&M black dagger) and Cobra Fi2000 Pro autotuner.
I always join the forums for the given rides I have at the time,... so I look forward to the wealth of knowledge and experiences that I'm sure I'll learn a great deal from on here from all of you. Thanks to all who take the time to share!
