Just took my new 2012 Candy Red Stryker out for a ride for about 20 miles in the country around where I live in todays 45 degree weather!!! First time I got to ride it since picking it up on 4/20. It wasn't my first color choice as I actually wanted the rust copper color and go all black, but my cousin decided to buy one a week before me... I couldn't get the same thing of course!
Already got the boulevard windshield, saddlebags, lightbar coming for it. I ended up ordering some chrome grips, radiator, belt guards, luggage rack (no sissy bar on this bike), as well as a chrome shifter/brake mods. First street bike I've actually rode at all! I'm so use to dirt bikes but what a bike! I originally was looking to get the Kawi Mean Streak, then they discontinued it... And then the Stryker appeared! I may have to upgrade to the Raider in a couple of years...
Looking forward to doing some other mods, but I'm keeping the stock pipes for now... My cousin got the black cobra swept ones, and I know some have drilled the pipes. I don't know if that 'voids' the warranty, as I extended it for three years since this is my first street bike (And I know where to get a set of chrome stock ones now cheap from my cousin in 'case' something happens). I've also heard some iffy things about the performance tuners so I'm not going to do that right away either.
One other quick comment, my dad was impressed with the bike, and I think is jealous... He rides a Honda... His 1300 is 850ish lbs, this is 646 and looks way cooler..
