Welcome from Michigan. Make sure your comfortable with the riding dynamics of the bike before you hit the twisties too hard.

scraping pegs with my 954 is fun and the bike is designed to do it, I do notice a big handeling differance between the bikes and i have already scraped the pegs, one thing i have learned over the years of riding is once you commit dont get nervice just ride it throught and after you get through then you can get nervice. to many wrecks are caused because the rider panics.

Welcome from Western Mass. I came off a VTR996 when I got my Stryker. Not my first cruiser but coming from the VTR it took a little getting used to. Takes a little more to get the long wheelbase around a corner!

Agreed...most new riders wreck their bikes because they're scared they bit off more than they can chew in a corner, and they panic (i.e brake wrong, stop turning, etc). Like you said, relax...lean and push on that handlebar, and you'll find yourself smiling coming out of the turn. Unless you're being a maniac on a rocket, most people don't really push the envelope on turns.

one of the reasons besides just falling in love with the stryker is i have a tendence to be alittle maniac on the 954 and all other sport bikes i have owned over the years and i put over 54000 miles on the 954 so i was comfortable on it and did push the bike. i did keep the 954 but time to enjoy the ride more and less adrenilen and since my wife is a new rider with the vstar custom 650 i needed something that i could ride with her and not want to shoot around her when i see the twisties ahead and the stryker was the one i fell in love with on the test ride.
