2011 Yamaha Stryker.

Bike ran fine before this...

I was Installing digital guard dawg keyless start.. I plugged the T harness into the wrong plug in the light housing instead of under the tank... Tried to start a few times it wouldn't start.. no crank or anything.. then I went back to stock ignition same issues.. bikes power turns on in accessory mode so leds and brake lights come on but no crank at all..

I ohm'd out the kill switch, clutch switch, kick stand switch all working properly.. I replaced starter relay just to see... Same problem.. didn't really want to get into removing the front pulley to test the neutral switch.. bike won't start even when I'm in gear with clutch pulled in... So I was leaning against the neutral switch being the issue assuming it wouldn't stop bike from starting...

If I jump the starter relay I get it to crank but still a no start...

Studied the manuals wiring diagrams and was able to trace/ohm out the ignition wires back down to the Main Relay/Fuel relay. And then able to trace/ohm from relay connector to starter relay..

Am I right to assume that I prob burned out the Main/Fuel Relay on bike? I ordered one but it's a few days out and I just wanted to get your opinions on the situation..

That's what I get for being in a rush and not disconnecting battery when doing electrical smh...

Anyways any help/ooinions is appreciated...

Leaving this on here as in update in case anyone else runs into this issue... If you look up the manual you can test the main relay for fuel pump operation and also starter circuit cut-off.. it's in their under electrical section..

In my case I had continuity for fuel pump but none for starter circuit... So I was confident that the relay went bad...

I then decided to cut the relay in half just for the heck of it since I had one coming in anyways... The diodes at the top of relay are burnt out.. see attached pictures...

I’ve seen that happen to a buddy who jumped his bike with a running car, it also took out the starter. Thanks for posting!

New relay installed.. now I get code 19 it'll crank but no start... This is so freaking frustrating...
This is the second bike in last month that has had that issue. Here is what the manual says- look to see what diagnostic code says that matters.

Actually I grounded out the neutral switch connector and returned back to keyed ignition and bike starts up fine now...

So I think I have a bad neutral switch on it.. but I believe the digital guard dawg harness is not the right one too because when I connect it I get error 19... Stock ignition and neutral switch jumped it starts up fine...

Do you know if you have to remove the front pulley to do the neutral switch?

I do not, I thought it was accessible under the seat remove battery and tray. Even if you do impact makes it simple. Just unbend the tabs on lock washer first, I reused my lock washer and vent it in a different spot when reinstalled, manual says u should replace it (one time use).

I just finished installing my Digital Guard Dawg. It started up fine the first couple of times and then I tried again and got an error code 19. What I didn't realize is that I had the key in the ignition to the on position the first couple of times and upon clean up switched the key to off and removed it because I won't be needing that anymore right? Nope wrong.
I figured since there were two wires left coming from the ignition that didn't line up with the connectors, I wouldn't need to connect them. I had to cut and wire them manually. Once I did that, the code was gone and I could start the bike without the key in the on position. I hope this helps anyone that happens to be here with the same problem before going through all types of other trouble shooting solutions.
