Whats the first thing out of my Brother-in-laws mouth when he see's my Stryker, Why didn't you buy a Harley? I just smile and shake my head anymore and told him where some of his parts actually come from. Like I said before I like some of the Harley models I'm not bad mouthing them, I just preferred the Stryker over a half dozen different bikes I looked at. Buy what you like. ride what you like I say.

hahahahaha, i totally agree brother. my neighbor was telling me i was full of mud about Harley parts so i went to the local HD dealer and ordered a few items I researched for his bike as I knew his birthday was coming up. We've been friends and neighbors for a long time and he's always been a great neighbor but I had to shut him up and do something nice for him at the same time. he was thrilled with the gift but hated eating crow when he noticed I had highlighted the made in Japan notations on the packages.

I totally agree: "Buy what you like" Ride what you like". I don't bad mouth any made bikes. It just that you ride should be the main concern.... 8)

I had my first negative reaction to my bike yesterday. I stopped at a red light and noticed a guy on a Harley behind me so I waved him up next to me so I could say whats up. He pulled up and I asked him how it was goin. He looked down at my bike, said Yamaha, and then pulled out in front of me when the light turned green. It was so unexpected I didn't have time to react. He turned off shortly and I was hoping to get another red light so I could stomp his little 883 ass into the pavement but I will keep an eye out for that prick in the future.

Again, not here to kill Harley, I was looking to buy a Wide Glide at the time or Victory but then saw Stryker and the rest is history. My Brother-in-law is actually interested in getting a Honda Goldwing but still keeping his Road King as well. I'm sending him picture I posted above. ;D

I pity the fool. Won't be much of a contest. Stryker will smoke it. Besides, an 883 is the wanna-be-harley for wanna-be-harley owners who can't really afford the $7999 they shelled out to compensate for what they so desperately seek -- acceptance, and a real set of stones. The last 883 I saw looked like it was ridden by a bear on a bike in some circus act...left behind by the spot bikes he was trying to keep up with. LOL.

The last time I got that "why didn't you buy a HD" crap from somebody, I told them that if I had wanted a Harley Davidson I would've bought a Harley Davidson. And, that if I wanted a bike that didn't always start when I turned the key, I would've bought a Harley Davidson. ::)

I test rode a Nighster...I don't really know why but at the time I thought it looked nice. It did not have forward controls and the grips were extra tiny (to accommodate a small girls hands I suppose). The bike had no character and I had no feel for the road. It was a very sanitized ride with a quirky feel. After about 2 miles my hips started to cramp and I was ready to get off this bike. I guess it would be OK for a small person but not my cup of tea.

most of the cruiser riders in my country ride harleys, there are a couple suziki M109s and one M90. i've seen to date 3 vstar 650s, 4 honda vt 750s, 1 triumph rocket and there are a couple s40s still milling around; crusiers only account for about 10-15% of our riding population. I'm not knocking the harley riders, but i swear its all noise and no get up and go. they're big and bulky look gawdy and i know 3 of harley riders personally who only ride on weekends, because runing their bikes as daily riders would cost an arm and a leg on wear and tear replacements.
the one guy i know with jack daniels vstar 650 beats the **** out of it on a daily basis, grins form ear to ear when sipping through traffic jams, and to my knwoledge the only time the bike has ever been down was when he broke his leg and decided to rebuild the engine just for the fun of it.

i will say this about the harley riders here. they dont give a **** what you ride their only gripe is if ure not doing it in a safe manner, and tehy have no qualms about jumping on another brand bike and taking it for a test ride, or helping out another rider with mechanical issues. they ride with sport bikes, supermotos, hele tehy'l even ride side by side with scooter riders during political rallies, it really doesn't matter. I remeber once seeing a few of them give a sport rider a lot of **** recently for runing around with a skid lid rather than a ful face. Joys of island life i guess.

I've been lookin...but it would help if we knew the type and color of his dress (mini-skirt, sundress, etc), and if he was in heels or flats.

On my way home from work I had a guy on a Harley pull up 2 lanes over from me, and pretended that I didn't exist. Never looked my way at all.

I'd like to say it didn't bother me, but obviously it did. Oh well, I'll get over it.

Don't let that crap bother you! We all know that our stryker's are gonna last more than 20,000 miles. LOL!!! I've got Harley riders as friends and they constantly remind me that I'm driving a Yamaha. I just figure they have something small in the pants! LOL!!! My best friends 1986 Yamaha Maxim X makes them all eat **** everytime we ride together. They hate that! LOL!!!
