I have had my Stryker since December 2011. It seems to me that the low profile OEM rear tire rides very rough. Seems to catch every little bump. Does anyone else experience that? Wondering if the Dunlop 240 will improve the ride, plus add to the "Cool" factor?

Hey Fuzz, Larger tire will give you more cushion and much better steerability also!

I thought it would definitely improve the ride. I have E3's on my other bikes. From what I have read here, the Dunlop E3 240 fits the rim okay without any modification. I don't plan to lower it, so it should be okay.

Yes, you should have no problems with that set-up then.

What's the bigger tire do for handling on the bike....say a 240 or 250? From reading, it looks like countersteer becomes more pronounced need.
I haven't noticed any change in handling that would warrant getting a 240 or 250 on handling alone. I have a 250 lowered 1.5 inches and it just looks a ton better. I find it more balanced at slower coasting speeds say in and out of driveways and gas stations. I can come up to a stop light or sign and not have to put my feet down for a second or two or not at all. Handing is a matter of preference anyhow. I know people who will ride nothing bigger than a 180 and think I'm crazy with a 250. I however love it and will not go back. Ever.

There is definately some good reasons to get the 240 or 250. That stock 210 when leaning in a turn comes up on the ridge at outside of tire and can feel real funky to handle. With the 240- the profile is much more rounded and have not had a problem at all while leaning.

Dunlop Elite 3 240 Installed this weekend. Lowered the rear shock pre load down to 1. Greatly improved the ride. Couple more pics in the gallery.

that is the same tire and size I've been running on mine I have about 4,000 miles on it and it still looks new. I will runs this tire again when its time to replace. The bike feels like it was designed to run this size tire.

Thanks Formerfuzz for the perspective. I'm sill wondering why the 240s are bigger diameter than the 210? the #240 from #210 is just an increase in width I thought.? The #40 is the diameter?
