Hello All,

Just noticed the other day I have oil leaks. I am not happy about this. I found obvioys leaks by the right side small cover that says Yamaha.

Just last week Yamaha re sealed the bottom part of my engine with the triangular shaped plate held by two hex screws.

Dealer has been nice ao far looking at it but it upset me knowing I have done no mods or dropped my bike and had all dealer service and should not have oil leaks at 6000 miles.

That really sucks. I haven't noticed any. Hope this isn't an issue with this bike.

I spoke with a yamaha rep last weekend, he told me if i'm ever having issues with the bike I should call a district office, all of them have warranty specialists and they will deal with your issue swiftly. He told me to give the dealer a chance but if I felt they weren't handling the issue I should call them.

If you are leaking oil from the small cover that has the Yamaha logo... something is definitely wrong... that cover does not even have a gasket...It is just a cosmetic cover.

Absolutely no reason to put up with oil leaks. Seems like half my life i've put up with oil leaks and buying a bike brand new it should not leak. Take it to the dealer and raise some ****.

Maybe one of the tapped holes went to deep. That would suck. Does it leak all the time or only when bike is up right and not on kick stand?
