Found this forum while doing a search on Stryker last night...so new to the forum....and and don't actually have one...... yet....
About ready to get back into riding.......it's been a while.....Been numerous years, used to have a Ninja......May be a midlife crisis thing ;) and recently got the wife's......OK ::)
Looking for a cruiser, but not really sure which bike I'm gonna get......Still in the research stage....The Stryker is currently #1 on the list.......

Saw the Stryker the other day in the shop.......looks pretty sweet,
Went in with my buddy, who just bought a Ninja, to look at a Vulcan (don't want anything too big) , came out loving the Raven Stryker look. My buddy thinks I need at least a 1200......

Thinking about heading over to the....Harley shop  to look at a few of their midsize bikes......And maybe the Yamaha shop to look at the Blue Stryker.....

Hoping to become part of the Stryker family.....but I like to research things a while before buying.........

Any advice and/or reasons to go with the Stryker over others would be appreciated.....

The Joker.....(who used to be wild)

Re: On the fence.....

Your right. Plastic chrome may be cheap, but this is what keeps down the price of the bike. If everything was metal, then you would be paying close to what the Raider costs is. Plus, the after market is a bigger buisness then the actual sales of the bikes themselves. This is why no one ever likes their exhaust, grips, mirrors etc.

OH YA! I don't want to see you guys in the Low and Mean group buy, purchacing any cheap plastic. ;D ;D ;D Just kidding.
Re: On the fence.....

Low & Mean doesnt have any CHEAP Plastic. only high grade Gel-Coat Fiberglass and Steel so far! HEHEHE
Re: On the fence.....

haha my life, i can agree with 11. There parts are top knotch
Re: On the fence.....

Never ment that Low and Mean makes cheap plastic. I'm a big fan of them and Chris. I had a post about them. Actually they make their products out of fiberglass. I've got the rad cover and love it.

It was a joke refering to previous posts. ;D
Re: On the fence.....

Update of sorts......No new Stryker yet though......

Alright......still high on the Stryker..... 8)

Now that I've gotten my permit (again) by passing the written DMV test and decided to go with MSF classes starting tomorrow to get the M1 license without having to take the DMV test......now the wife is hedging on her "Go ahead and get a bike" statement......... Went with the wife's wishes before (been wanting one for years, used to live nearby a Harley shop)....but now I've got a few extra bucks.......so it's now (or after the license) or never.......

I'd like to just go ahead and pull down the new Stryker tomorrow or Sunday.........since it's been years since riding, I'm hesitant to pull it down.......until I get on a bike again........Like I think I mentioned above......I'm pretty confident that it'll be like riding a bike.......and I'll catch on quickly once again.....besides straight dirt bikes.....I'vee had a XR500, Honda CB750 (I think), and a 600 Ninja in the past......

Could just pull it down.....ride the back streets home (about 20 miles) an have it in my garage.........and cruise the hood to get used to it........Insurance would be about $45/month.....not bad.......
Or wait for the refresher course.......

Loving the site.......been a heavy lurker .........at least til I've got one to call my own........

Stay safe.......

My first love was the Fury until I saw one in person. Just too much plastic for my taste. Then the Stryker came out and it was "Fury what!?!?!" I had to have one and now do.
I don' blame you about the plastic thing. Sure the Stryker has its fair share, but when I touch my fenders they feel like a real motorcycle, but a really nice 4 wheeler.

I test drove a new Sabre and it was a smoother ride than the Stryker, but I didn't like the 170 tire in back or how the engine ran out of breath too soon. I kept hitting the rev limiter and I wasn't even riding like a jackass.
Re: On the fence.....

I've jumped off the fence.....and onto a new Stryker 8)

It's the only bike that made sense........Got a pretty sweet deal too

Unfortunately, my Raven is still in a crate and on it's way over, may not actually be on it until Friday or Saturday.......

I've got plans to make it my own....but that'll take some time......

May the pipes be loud......
The streets be safe......
And the Joker.....be Wild*........

* disclaimer.......I'm an old fart now.....so the meaning of wild.........may mean......mild :p

Awesome Bro. Glad you made that choice, you wont regret it.
Congrats on the bike, I havent been on here very long but seeing the amount of mods and equipment that these guys are doing you should have no problem making it your own. To all keep up the kick [email protected]@ posts!!!!!
It is now....in my garage 8)

I think I gotta go....... ;)
Congrats! I bet it's almost impossible to not want to put on your 600 break in miles .... tonight! lol ;)
Left the dealer late, with .9, now at 25.......could have easily did 250 but, I'll avoid night riding til I get used to it.......tomorrow morning I'm getting up early, if I can ever get out of the garage tonight ::)
Lol, I hear ya' Joker! When I got home with my Stryker,... the first week it seemed, all I was doing was reading threads on the forum here and going out in the garage for lil projects, then back to the forum,... and to the garage again, ect.... lol
Between the Iphone and the Mac.......I've just been staying in the garage.......

She looks good in MY Garage........ I may have to kick the wife's car to the curb......I think I need more room for her.......something that looks this good, shouldn't have to share space.....Unless she's with me......
