Well, I've owned my stryker for all of 3 months...and tomorrow I am trading it in for a Raider. I guess I'm just never satisfied.....

Hey Dreadly...see ya on the other side :)))))))
They are similar looking and after being at the SERR w/ many of them seem to handle the twisties just fine. Bars are a little bit of a stretch for me but besides that I like the bike and it just has some extras that are missing on the Stryker :(
Enjoy the ride.

Man you did all the work for someone already. Hate to see you go and hope the extra ponies make you happy. 452 post in four months. You were a very active member! Post a pic of the ride before you leave.

Or just don't leave the forum ;) no reason a raider rider can't post here too!

Here's the dealer pic. I love the copper much better, and how it would seem to change color throughout the day. I am sad :frown: ......but I'm sure I will love the Raider just as much. I will miss everyone on this forum too, (except one:biggrin1:) Not a real big fan of chrome, but I will either adjust or "let the modding begin....again" :thumb: I will definitely keep in touch here. Will be bringing my bike to the dealer around 1pm tomorrow, and riding the Raider home no later than 3pm :)

On a serious note. The raider is not much powerful on the track if you are talking power. As far as quarter mile differences ....very very minuscule...we are talking seconds...now torque is a different thing especially if you are a big boy and wanting to ride 240 or 250 and drive like you rode the stryker.... They get too tired and get smoked all the time. In my opinion your stryker motor will handle more abuse Due to water cooled. Harley finally wanted longevity for their motor and have new models water and oiled cooled

+1 on this one my stryker actually beats yes beats my 2 buddies raiders. The styker is more like a sports car and the raider is like a truck when it comes to the more hp. You can pull more with the raider but the styker is quicker. Not trying to change your mind the raider is alittle more comfortable for a taller person i'm 6'3 and would be alittle more comfortable on the raider but I just like the look of the stryker over the raider. enjoy

Right on the money my man. I see why you want the raider now. I am going to keep my stryker only to have a fast bobber later on like people did with the old Yamaha 650 and 750. May get a Diavel for a toy or do it big with the Harley breakout 110 which I am still debating with wife

Had mine for 10 months and then traded for a raider. Bought a white one and love it. Enjoy the new bike, definitely a great ride. I do still miss my stryker though.

Well, I have to say I am glad to hear that :thumb: Other than Dreadly and you, I wonder how many others here have Raiders, and how they like them.

I have been having last minute doubts...but then again, I did when I bought the Stryker too. The biggest down side to this is, I paid cash for the Stryker...so no payments. I'm taking a big hit on the Stryker, but the Raider is marked down to $10.900. I wold make more selling it outright, but I am impulsive, and want the Raider NOW :D . So I'm still going to pay a couple grand out of pocket for the Raider. The Raider was on the floor when I bought the Stryker, but was a couple thousand more, and I was getting a great deal on the Stryker. So I'm going to end up paying about $1500 more for the Raider n ow than if I just bought it back in May.

Oh well....that's how it goes in the big boy toy business:tongue:

Patience is a virtue my friend. Wait a few months till riding season is over and that price will fall again. They do not want that bike sitting around till next May.

Good luck ... enjoy your new ride. If you google any bike, I'm willing to say you'll find those that love it, hate it, think their brand is faster .... etc.

I ride the Raider because it's what I choose when I was shopping. Had the Stryker been out, I might have bought two of them - one for the wife and one for me.

Ride what you enjoy and call it a day ... :)
