Here is mine that I got from harbor freight for like $75. It is very stable and i can jack my bike up to about waist level on me and do everything i need to do. The one you are looking at to would be good if you got your front strapped into a wheel chalk. I understand you having limited space but the one I have I use in my shed with 2 atv's and a dirt bike around me in a 12x16 shed.

My garage is fairly limited on space. I like this style that can be place on my work shelves after being used. I also like that I can hook my air wrench to it and raise the bike. I am looking for your opinions on this style, not necessarily this jack.

The jack does look handy because you can fold it away for space, but believe me unless you bolt down that jack to the floor and strap the bike down, the bike will be insanely wobbly to work on because of the narrow jack profile. I honestly don't think this one will serve your purposes like you think

I have jack similar to that. It will not lift the whole bike of the ground but will lift the rear tire off of the ground or just leveling the bike like a center stand. I find it very stable and plan on using it to lift the rear wheel off the ground for winter storage. (I plan on building a stand for the front wheel.) It would probably lift the front end no problem, I just have never done it. Look around the net though you should be able to find one for a lot less money. I only paid $60 for mine on sale here in Canada. I have seen them for a price close to that for ones in the States.

I have the harbor freight lift as well and use it for my bike and atv.

Regarding that jack in the original post - It looks like you could take the scissor jack from your car and bolt a piece of 2X8 onto each side and essentially have the same thing.
