So, my wife and I took our first road trip on the Stryker over the weekend. About 400 miles Friday from Kansas City to Sikeston, MO (as far from KC as you can get and still be in Missouri). Some friends of ours took our bicycles out in their truck, and we did the Tour de Corn on Saturday...102 mile loop through corn country. This was my wife's first 100 miler. It turned out to be a tough one due to the heat, but she was a trooper and stuck it out. She wasn't so excited about getting back on the back of the Stryker after Saturday's event, so she went home with our friends in the truck while I made the 400 mile return trip solo. Just beat some torrential rain on I-70. They got stopped in it. Pictures of the Stryker are coming. Here we are during the bike ride:

Nice weekend! 800 miles on your Stryker and 100 on the bike. You're good.
I bike also but not like that. Thanks for sharing. Last summer I spotted a motorcycle in my area with his bicycle on the back. I wasn't right next to him but it appeared he custom mounted a Thule Echelon fork mount rack to his luggage rack. I think he had the front tire strapped to his bike frame. Very creative.

Very interesting. We saw some motorcycles at our hotel that had pretty big trailers in tow, but I'm not sure if they had bicycles in there or not. I plan to ride the Stryker to Maryland for another century this fall, but I think I'll be shipping the bike. I hate doing that because one of my road bikes got all scratched up that way. I'm considering buying one of those hard-sided bicycle cases, because I have a LiteSpeed now that I'm pretty attached to. I'd be really upset if it got messed up.
