If you are like my wife and I, we are always trying to find a new place to ride to. I've been looking around on the internet and I've found a few rides. But I thought what better way to get a list of places to ride then from our own members. I figured we can create a list of places we like to ride to share with others and maybe meet up for a ride sometime.
So I created my first map in Google Maps to try out. You can share the link in Google for all to see. I also created a jpg to post for a quick reference. I figure we can post about how long the ride is and if there are any great places to eat or visit.
My first place is a trip through Pine Grove Furnace State Park, into Waynesboro Maryland, up to Gettysburg and loop around. This main loop is about 80 miles, and there is a 5 mile side track to High Rock Lookout in Maryland. This is a great place to take a few minutes, look for hang gliders and enjoy the view. The last time we were there a hang glider asked myself and another biker to help him launch. It was a neat experience. The main ride through the state park is surrounded by woods. Of course through Gettysburg you are surrounded by history. Taking old Route 15 is a great way to enjoy the scenery.

This is my first attempt at a Google Map, so we can use this as a learning tool as well. Maybe it will catch on and the other areas will create maps for there areas.
