I have a small batwing faring made by Tsukayu for my blue Stryker. Also I have a pair of hard street slim bags that are already a factory match. My question is this: faring need to be painted to match the Stryker blue, with the graphics to match the tank also painted on the faring and hard bags. Does anyone have an estimate on what you think this would cost me to have a shop do this? 8)

Not sure what the graphics or what the painter will charge you but I do know that the paint alone will cost close to $300. You can go to www.ColorRite.com and get the "factory paint" They are the company that supplies Yamaha with the paint for their bikes. Just a guess but I'm thinkin at least $600 probably more for the whole job...

I have been shopping around and the lowest quote was $375.00 but I didn’t like the shop at best he was a here today gone tomorrow type business. The highest quote came in at $680.00. So I need to make a choice soon. I have gotten 5 quotes. I may wait till winter and see if the prices come down. Who knows they may go higher... 8)

Well not sure how keen you are on shipping, but the guy doing my stuff says he charges around $100 for large pieces. I would have to double check with him that he can get the exact Yamaha colors
Check with him or give me his address and phone number if ok and I will check with to see if we can work out a arrangement....

Grafics and pearls tend to cost more. the grafics are air brushed and timely, while the pearls are layered. But know matter the paint the different colors require the painter to buy the paint mix it then apply it. and that is before the gloss finishes(3 to 5) to pop the paint. ant to start the process and all through it , it has to be sanded and smothed out, even between coats.

I'll get you his info, gotta find his card. He works at a shop, so he doesn't really charge to much for the paint, because to my knowledge, he doesn't actually buy it. I pick up my pieces tomorrow of Friday. He has done work for me before in the past and I was happy.

My paint being done has red pearl and silver metallic in it and, like I said he's popping out the dent in tank, doing the body work on front and rear fender from crash, and repainting the entire bike (except air cleaner cover, I'm getting a high flow) for the $550. I would think as long as he can match the color, he would be able to get you done for less than $200 shipped. Don't quote me on price.

Just let me know how I can get in touch with him, or I can PM my phone number to you if he wants to call me...
