Looking for some ideas here. I can't decide which way to go...leave it black, add some color to the black or paint it solid to match the bike. I've been thinking maybe just having flames similar to the the tank painted on top of the fairing and leaving it mostly black. I think it needs something to tie it back into the bike but not to much.

Paint the fairing satin black more like the frame instead of leaving it gloss? Maybe that's why I'm questioning leaving it as is.
Paint it with splotches of blood red, and glue some fake parts of arms and heads and maybe some intestines on it...then ride through the middle of town laying on the horn and screaming "Get the **** out of my way"!!!! :D

Seriously...I like the black as a contrast...it's different, but yeah, maybe lose the gloss???? Hey...plasti dip worked for everything else in this forum??? Don't like it...peel it off :thumb:

I say paint it frame(mat black) or wheel(low gloss) black (two different paint codes)- then add copper flames to match your bike... that would be b'itchin!
+1 I'm liking this idea!!

I'm not a big fan of doing flames either but I do like the design and copper colored tank. If I match the paint I don't think I want it solid. How about a couple of pin strips on the copper using the colors in the tank design. I didn't want a black bike because there are to many out there but it would have made it easier matching a fairing.

Well, whatever you decide, make sure you post pics. I've been toying with the idea of getting one, but I have never been big into fairings....but if you come up with a good paint scheme, I might be motivated :)

I made a decision and painted the fairing to match the bike. I think it turned out well but it still needs something so this is what I'm thinking... I'm going to have a custom Stryker logo painted on top of the fairing using the brown and gold similar to the flame on the tank. I found a logo that I believe someone on here created and printed it out so I could see what it would look like. I think I'm going with it or something similar.

Does anyone know who did this Stryker logo and if they are selling decals?
