Removing Yamaha logo from cover

Very satisfied with the finished product

Some shots of the bike with covers bolted back on

Headlight housing, speedo, and ignition cover

Tank minus chrome trim

I am very satisfied with the end result of painting all of the chrome

Looks awesome! I'm in the process of painting mine out too. What kind of paint did you use and what did you use to fill in the YAMAHA? I was going to use some bondo.

Thanks guys and for those that asked I used Rust-Oleum Professional, High Performance Enamel with High-Output Tip, Flat Black 7578. All I did was wet sand with 600 grit.
Also Elle that is the same thing I used. Just regular bondo and it worked great

How hard was it 2 do the headlight? I did the headlight ring but not the whole assembley.
X2... not sure how to get that headlight bucket off. :-\
Its easy. 1st remove the 2 small screws on either side. The metal ring in front is held on with clips. There is a notch in the bottom, simply use a small screw driver to pry it apart from the bottom. Then there are several wire connectors inside that need to be released and pushed out the large hole in the back. Then finally 3 bolts hold the housing to the mounting bracket and its off. Or just remove the 2 bolts holding the bracket to the triple.

Isn't it funny how we all seem to be doing everything we can to get rid of every tace of the brand of bike we own? Haha, looks good though! I want to do my engine tops, but afraid to take them off. (Not sure what is behind them.) Did you have any problems or are they just covers?
