I have several cans higher quality flat black paint that I would like to try and use to paint the cyclinder head covers and chrome engine side covers on my raven Stryker. Just wondering though, if this paint is only rated up to 200 degrees F will that be enough to avoid heat damage???

Yes. They get warm but not hot.
