I finally bought my first mod :thumb:. I got the PCS lowing kit. I can't wait to ride 2.25" lower. The only problem I have, is I don't have a motorcycle jack. The instructions that were posted here talked about using a jack. I would love to hear from somebody that has done this without a jack. I want to make sure that it will be possible.

For me it was two friends and a cender block with a piece of thin wood on top of it. The two strongest guys picked up my bike and the other guy pushed the cender block under the bike.
Then took a short beer break.

I didnt need a Jack to do mine (PCS lowering link). I just changed it on the kickstand, I put that down with my hand. I know I had to grab the rear fender and pull up on it then push down to change link from one link to another. Then tighten her down. Easy as that!

i tried doing this over the weekend. couldn't get those two bolts loosened. now the lower belt guard rubs on my tire. (didn't before).

If it makes you feel better, its wasnt real easy. It did take some elbow grease but I did it. I put my beer down.

If you do put your beer down make sure it's far enough away so you don't knock it over and and waist it, that's alcohol abuse.

I did it with a plank of wood and a 3-ton hydraulic jack with a generous saddle. I almost had to put my beer down.

First good 1 Toby, next the lowering kit job is easy if you have a 17ml socket and wrench. at least i found it easy. I have raised and lowered Patrice's 4 times now.

Finally got it done. Ended up using a small car jack and it only took about 20 minutes. That was after hours of frustration with out a jack. I have only had the chance to cruise the neighborhood since, but it feels nice.
