Hey guys,

I'm looking at using the PCS lowering kit to lower my bike an inch and was curious if I will encounter any problems with the kickstand or if I will encounter any other clearance issues.

Nope. I've read other members having issues with the top bolt hitting the small container. But mine barely hit the edge of it. Roll your rear tire under a 2×4. Leave the kick stand down if your just using a regular jack, up if using a bike jack. And there you go. Took me less than 15min to do. You'll love the stance afterwards. Goodluck

Thanks for the replies and I look forward to trying it out. I won't be starting for a month or two but I'll put some pictures up as I go along.

PCS lowering kit and progressive spring question.

Has anyone changed out the stock spring coil with a Progressive spring as well as the lowering kit by PCS at the same time with a certified Yamaha mechanic? Although I am keeping my stock shock, I am getting some crazy estimates quoted for the labor alone. A few Internet sites I researched, estimated approx. 1-1/2 hrs. to complete the work assuming all the necessary tools are available.
The estimates I am getting back range from 3 hrs. to 6 hours to complete. Labor rates start at $100 an hour. Anyone ? (Miami, FL)

I'd say do the links at 2.25" and call it a day. If my.memory serves me correct a 17mm wrench and socket driver with and extension are the only tools needed.
