According to the temp chart, the low beam will be pure white and the high beam with be slightly warmer. So long as your light isn't shining in the driver's eyes (your OEM headlight housing is properly aligned) it shouldn't be illegal. 9-10K is usually the point where Cops start pulling you over for headlight beam color. The product description does not say anything specifically about output brightness. So I honestly doubt there's any performance benefit, just a visual color change.

I ran 4k PIAA's in my chevy truck..the whiter light absorbs rain and snow instead of reflecting. Visually they lit up about 50% more road. They were in for 3 years and the lights were not as bright. Actually wore out before blowing..I would recommend them. I also drive over the road and ran them in my older trucks before going hid

After reading a few reviews on aftermarket lights, the one thing I'm afraid of is how long they would last. Some reviews I've read stated that some aftermarket lights only last a year. The stock will probably last three years if I had to guess.

Really I just want a bulb that have is blue and a somewhat brighter.

A lot of people go with the 6k. Anything over that and the higher the number the less visibility you have. I mean it looks cool. But if you can't see then you are a danger to yourself and everyone around you.
