As part of the L&M group purchase I just got the chin spoiler. I read on other reports that there is enough room in the lower part of the chin spoiler to install the PIAA slimline horn. My question to those who already did this modification.....did you have to make a special bracket or was there somewhere convienent to install the horn? Is there room for two horns? Any suggestions would be appreciated. No need to reinvent the wheel!

Thanks.

I'm not sure myself but if you watch the install video on Low and Means product page for the chin scoop the very end has the relocation install of the emmissions canister in the scoop. You may be able to judge the space by watching that.

There are two holes in the bottom of the chin scoop. Since I have two Strykers, I am just going to get two horns. Once I get them and the chin spoilers painted, I can see if they both fit. Worst case is I do one bike (with two horns...if I go with two), then order two more. I'm not sure if two horns will be that much louder than one....but it's worth a test.

I haven't got my scoop yet but I'm hoping there is enough room to put my Bad Boy Wolo in it, currently it's on the left side of the motor attached with a mount I made to the chrome cover.

I would think it would be, may want to put in a relay and inline fuse though. The horn fuse is only 10 amps if I'm not mistaken, don't want to burn up anything. I know alot of people didn't use a inline fuse and relay for the wolo and had no problems but better safe then sorry. You could probably use the same wiring idea that is used with the Wolo to wire two horns. Here's a wiring diagram you can use http://www.wolo-mfg.com/419 english.pdf

They will be, and I think more important the twin slimline package includes 400 mhz and 500 mhz sound. This is the kicker for me.
I tried one then the other (better than stock for sure) but found the twin sound to be the best. Here is a video I previously posted of the PIAA's with the bike at idle and a little rev for reference.

Do they sell the twin horn package in a slimline? I saw a package for a twin but it wasn't a slimline. Wasn't sure if the non-slimline would fit. I thought people were just using two 500 MHz horns and wiring them together.

Yes, I got mine off Amazon but eBay has them as well as other places.
The key is the part# from PIAA #85114 which is the 2 horns. On Amazon the write-up is funky but they deliver the 2 horn package as well.

Thanks for the link. I got two sets of the twin horns. I guess I'll just have to return the other ones.

Does the twin pack come with the relay or do you need to pickup some other parts to do the wiring?
